Chaos follows Aidan Willingham. He has been working underground and trying to work towards bringing the the collaborative to justice that tortured him and other military elite soldiers in the Amazon jungle in an effort to produce super soldiers. Aidan has just learned that he has a brother that he was separated from as a young child. He is keeping watch on him and his family. He also meets a police woman named Angela who can't seem to let him blend into the background and do his job. They find they have a connection in more ways than one.
I liked this book. I loved the connection to the Embattled series by Madden. There was just enough suspense to keep the story moving but not too tense, and I enjoyed the romantic pairing of Aidan and Angela. Some aspects of the super soldier part of the plot are a little hard to believe, but that is the idea and this is fiction after all. While the story left Aidan and Angela at a good place, the story is not finished and the next installment in the series will continue the quest to defeat the collaborative. It will be Fontana's story.… (altro)

Genesis is the prequel to the Dogs of War series. This series must be read in order to get the best reading experience. In this book we see four military men being used in a top secret experiment to produce super soldiers. They are kept naked in cages like dogs - dogs of war. They are able to break out and the story progresses from there. The following books in the series are romantic suspense and feature the main characters as they work to bring the corrupt collaborative to justice.

This was a solid start to the series. I was thoroughly invested in the characters and their struggle and look forward to reading the rest of the books.… (altro)
