Jane Maas was born Jane Ann Brown in Jersey City, New Jersey on March 14, 1932. She received a bachelor's degree in English from Bucknell University and a master's degree in English literature from Cornell University. Before working in advertising, she wrote for television. She became a trailblazer mostra altro in the advertising industry of the 1960s and 1970s. She began her career in 1964 at Ogilvy & Mather, where she rose from junior copywriter to vice president, but was usually confined to handling household brands pitched mainly to women. She worked at Wells Rich Greene from 1976 to 1981, where as senior vice president Maas headed the I Love New York campaign. She became the president of Muller Jordan Weiss and the president of Earle Palmer Brown. She, Kenneth Roman, and Martin Nisenholtz wrote How to Advertise, which became an industry classic. Advertising Age named Maas one of the 100 Most Influential Women in Advertising. She wrote two memoirs entitled Adventures of an Advertising Woman and Mad Women: The Other Side of Life on Madison Avenue in the '60s and Beyond. She also wrote two books with her husband Michael Maas entitled Christmas in Wales: A Homecoming and The Christmas Angel. The Christmas Angel: A Novel di Jane Maas

This was a great story about several generations of a family who pass on a wooden Christmas angel. The angel was originally made for an intended bride who turned down the patriarch of the family, but then was given later to his wife and passed down through the family. Each generation found true love and continued the Welsh traditions in their own way.

Mad Women: The Other Side of Life on Madison Avenue… di Jane Maas

I listened to the audiobook and it was really good. The reader had a very silky voice that could put you to sleep. It was interesting to hear the woman's perspective of the Mad Men Show and how it was in advertising in the 60's. We've really come a long way over the last 50 years.

The Christmas Angel di Jane Maas

Get ready for the warm and fuzzies. The Christmas Angel by Jane Maas is an
incredible, heartwarming book that will soon become one of your holiday favorites. It follows a hand-carved Christmas Angel from generation to generation in the Thomas family. Through good times and bad, through heartache and triumph.

I loved how the story is told through journal entries, letters, flash backs, and narrative. It made if feel real as if I were reading someone's diary. I experienced so many emotions while reading this book. And the ending, oh, the ending, made me want to weep with joy. I loved that you got a glimpse into the lives of the Thomas family. I only wish this book was a bit longer so that I could learn more about the characters. However it didn't take long for me to fall in love with the characters, so I guess the length is perfect. This is a book I will read time and time again. Especially around the holidays. I enjoyed reading every page.
