- After serving in the U.S. Army in World War II and Korea, and participating in Special Forces operations in Laos, Gray Lynch became a CIA officer in 1960. He participated in the Bay of Pigs operation and later directed commando raids against the Castro dictatorship. He retired from the CIA in 1971.

Decision for Disaster: Betrayal at the Bay of Pigs di Grayston L. Lynch
This is a great book about the Bay of Pigs. It is written by one of the few Americans involved in the Bay of Pigs. It is a blow by blow account of the disaster and the author does critique Arthur M. Schlesinger throughout the book which I don't 100% agree with. However I did like this book because it was a first hand account and it was easy reading at that!
