Summary:
This book describes what the Cherokee Indian culture is like. It tells a little bit of their history as well as what kind of houses they lived in, what kind of foods they ate,and what kind of stuff they did for fun.

Personal Reaction:
I thought this book was a great book to read given I've lived in OK my whole life and have never really knew much at all about their Cherokee Indians. This book taught me a few interesting things about the Cherokee Indians and was very interesting to read.

Classroom Extension Ideas:

1. Each student could make their own Indian head dress or teepee.
2. We could research a famous Indian and write a report about them.

Summary:
This is a multicultural children’s book written and illustrated by Bill Lund. This book has 24 pages of hard facts and illustrations of the Cherokee Indian tribes. The book includes a little of everything from the role of women in a tribe to making of baskets.

Personal Reaction:
This book is very resourceful and informative.
