On the other this suffered from too much cut out from the book. We don't see Paige and David before they arrive in France so the level of miscommunication is almost comical.
They've been together two years, getting ready to be married, and I don't think the two dodos ever had a REAL conversation with each other.
A lot of the story is also quite convenient - even moreso then most Harlequin Suspense novels tend to be. David's insistence that Paige is a tragedy when it comes to keeping numbers straight came off as SUPER patronizing and some of it made me wonder how she got through life at all.
I will say I appreciated that Paige eventually stops letting him run over her and does quite a bit to pull her weight in the mission. Meanwhile Maggie and Henri both have their own books (Maggie's is book 4 and Henri's is...ten? Or so. He's like 14 here and in his book he's the "acting director" of the Agency so you gotta figure at least 15 years past if not more.)
Overall not the best and barely enough to be considered entertaining but extra points for making me want to check out the other books.… (altro)
