Lorraine Lollis (1911–2002)

I acquired this book because I noticed it is referenced by several other books in my small library. The book is divided into three main sections: Christian Woman's Board of Mission, 1874-1919 (chapters 1-10); Missionary Organizations of the United Christian Missionary Society, 1919-1949 (chapters 11-17); and, Christian Women's Fellowship, 1949-[1970, the date of publication] (chapters 18-22).

The author writes from the perspective of "insider," as she was a participant in much of the changes that occurred as the work of the Disciples of Christ women evolved.

The book includes a bibliography and four pages of photos of leading women in the Christian Church. There is no index.… (altro)
