This book is about the lives and hopes of the rubber tappers in the Alto Jurua Extractive Reserve in Brazil and in particular the family of Antonio an eight year old boy who lives in the rainforest in Brazil and whose dad is a rubber tapper.
I suppose I should care a lot more, but I get tired of hearing that every plant product I use is either about to become extinct or is used in ways that destroy the environment or that destroy people and/or tribes.
