Mati Lepp

Mati Lepp is an award-winning Estonian-Swedish artist and children's book illustrator. Born in Stockholm in 1947, to Estonian parents who had fled the Soviet occupation of their homeland, he was educated at the art school in Saltsjöbaden, and worked for many years as an artist in the field of advertising. He illustrated his first children's book - Georg Johansson's Eriks kanin - in 1986, and has gone on to work on many others. He was awarded the Elsa Beskow Plaque in 1998, for his ABCD-boken.
