After studying Russian for 1 1/2 years, I finally decided to purchase 5000 Russian Words. Now that I own the book, I'm wondering why I didn't purchase it, or at least check it out, earlier. It does everything it says it will--that is, it contains 5000 Russian words with all their inflected forms and their English definitions--but that still doesn't do it justice, somehow. They just manage to fit so much useful information into each page! I use it almost every time I read and write in Russian, and in this handy book I almost always find whatever help I need.… (altro)
