Kim Kuebler, DNP, APRN, ANP-BC, is a national and international palliative care thought leader. She has edited and authored eight award-winning textbooks and multiple peer-reviewed publications. Kuebler is the director and founder of the Multiple Chronic Conditions (MCCs) Resource Center, mostra altro identified by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) as a premier source for interprofessional clinical information on the effective management of MCCs. Kuebler also is a consultant for the DHHS MCC curriculum development for interprofessional education. She earned a master's degree from Emory University and doctor of nursing practice degree from Vanderbilt University. Kuebler's research investigates nursing knowledge and skill in the effective management of MCCs. Kuebler is the originator of the National Health Policy and Clinical Practice Conference and collaborated with the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality's shared decision-making initiative. She is a Mayday Pain Fellow from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and an active clinician in a high-level neurologic and orthopedic practice. She uses her clinical, academic, and research experiences to inform and influence state and federal health policy leaders. She is an appointed member on the Medicare Evidence Development and Coverage Advisory Committee, has been appointed to the Michigan Commission on End-of-Life Care, is an expert member on cancer pain management for the Institute of Medicine, and was selected as a member of the World Health Organization's Palliative Care Task Force in China.
