Jasmine and Matt dated in high school but she ended up breaking both their hearts because she knew he would leave town to make it big in the NHL and she didn’t feel good enough or want to hold him back. Years later Jasmine’s life isn’t what she thought it would be and she is struggling. Matt is now on the edge of having to retire from an amazing hockey career because of his age and past injuries, yet he feels as if he still can play but is his heart still in it? After all these years they still think about each other from time to time and an opportunity for Jasmine’s PR career leads them back together. Jasmine is hired by Matt’s family to help PR for their Inn and Christmas tree farm so Matt decides to help her out by making an appearance. These two are a bit of walking disasters with Matt being all grumpy, reluctant to come back home, some sibling fighting, and with Jasmine’s PR events always ending in disaster can they pull this off to help Matt’s family or is it doomed from the beginning? Will Matt and Jasmine be able to leave the past behind them or will bringing it up lead to more for them or bitter feelings? Will Matt walk away from jasmine breaking her heart again or can they see where this road takes them? This read was super cute, funny, and a sweet Christmas time romance. I loved the characters and their stories, loved the sweetness Matt showed mostly only towards Jasmine, and everything about it.… (altro)

The Story:

Wes and Penny have tons of chemistry, even before they gave into it it was palpable. I am intrigued by the other stories hinted at in this one. I like the way these three authors come together to build a town. I hope they continue to do it.
