An absolutely beautifully illustrated picture book that the reader experiences alongside the main character through excellent word choice and pastel colors. It is more about setting than character and less a story than it is a mood piece The whole character is never exposed and they are stepping on the hot sand, cooling their feet off and bouncing around in the waves or stepping on a shell, joy shines through each new experience. Wild, white spray and blue bubbles, moist sand, salty breezes, hot sun, and beach exploration make this a fun book for early readers and listeners.… (altro)
