I bought this at a Chapters when the author was there to sign it for me. I found out she was an Alberta girl (like me!) So I thought I'd support local literary talent. I am so glad I did! the book was fantastic! set in the 1800's, it tells the tale of Deirdra and how and why she becomes a vampire. the tale takes you through to Deirdra's present life and into a war against the vampire race.
