This was a really well-put together, well-documented chronicle of the Close Encounters of the Third Kind movie pretty much from conception through to theatrical debut...and beyond, into the special editions, etc.
I always find—assuming they're well-written—that these are interesting glimpses into both the creative process of a story, as well as the compromises that must be made along the way.
This has always been one of my favourite movies, so I enjoyed the hell out of this return to it.… (altro)

However, there not being a single mention of the Crispin Glover lawsuit is ridiculous, and I'm always annoyed in these kinds of books when so much less time is spent on the sequels compared to the first one.
