This was a series of short stories on cis gay men and boys meeting and liaising with other gay men, and usually trying to lie their way in to or out of the difficult scenarios that result. We cover Pride, summers before the last year of high school, and reunions with exes, all of which had some breathtaking and nerve-wracking moments. That said, with so many similar stories crammed into one volume, the theme did eventually get stale.

In the queer fiction space, most of the stories felt very familiar: the family obligation vs. romantic interest push-and-pull of Memorial, the perilous emotional risks of being yourself of Daydreamers, and the heart-wrenching experience of trying not to care about your ex of Less. That said, I think each of these titles focused a little better on those topics and I would recommend those three over this one.… (altro)
