Clear, encouraging, debunked a lot of myths I had heard about raising your kids to be bilingual. I found it a bit slow at the start where they took time to convince the reader why bilingualism was good, because they were already preaching to the choir. That's my only gripe. I like how the chapters have summaries at the end of the important points tackled in each. Has some references and resources at the back for further reading.

Somewhat of a disappointment; much of the book was devoted to debunking allegedly common misconceptions I'd never encountered and certainly didn't share, or to discussing scenarios irrelevant to my situation. (I'd imagine the "parents who can get by if necessary in a second language but are far from comfortable or fluent want to raise a bilingual child" situation is far from uncommon, but it gets short shrift in this book.)

This is by far the best book I've read on providing bilingual education to my children. The book is clear, concise and filled with statistics, strategies and surprising myths (younger is not always better, you do NOT need to be fluent in a 2nd language language to introduce one to your children) surrounding introduction of additional language(s).
