Farīdah Khalʻatʹbarī

I really enjoyed reading this book because of its simple yet descriptive language and pleasant illustrations. First, I like how the book personifies colors and mentions various objects that generally possess or reflect off certain colors. For instance, there is a phrase, “It is me, River, I irrigate your land, Azure, as Azure as your Jeans.” Another phrase states, “It is me, Tree Trunk, I support your weight, Brown, as Brown as your Chocolates.” The book labels and personifies the colors azure and brown as being the river and the tree trunk, and it gives examples of jeans and chocolate as the objects that possess their distinct colors. Second, the book’s colorful illustrations are indeed pleasant to my eyes. The pages contain an appropriate amount of the color that they represent, and the use of what appears to be crayons and water color makes the book much more pleasant, warm, and appealing. The central message of this book is to inform the readers on various colors and from what certain objects we can distinguish those colors.… (altro)
