Fun anthology set in the summer time. The first has a foursome going to aspen for a local party. Where the current lover of the sugar daddy meets up with one of his exes. Leaving the sugar daddy and the aging twinks. The next is a timeshare situation in Provincetown who are looking for Mr Right. They think they have found a great guy til they found its actually the same guy. Third has a group of friends who just graduated college and their current boyfriends going to Hawaii on vacation where they meet up with a tormentor for high school. The final one has a guy who leaves his philandering bf and embarks on a free for all of one night stand. He meets a guy at thr airport who becomes his lover. While at a dinner party in Palm Springs they learn that they share a former lover. Good book over all, but sometimes they do get a bit literary.… (altro)

A young man, Dillon, who is coming of age in the mid 80's in the Denver metro area. He thinks his life is the pits, he's picked on at school, his mom is a recovering alcoholic who has just found Jesus. Along comes Uncle Max who turns his life on it's ear. Uncle Max is just out a two year prison term. He's a self proclaimed cat burglar and a gay man. Uncle Max has a dream ideal of France mostly from Balzac novels. Max helps the boy come to terms with his own sexuality as well as brings him into the larceny racket. Stealing from the well to do in the area. Dillon sees numerous similarities between his Uncles and the anti-hero that comes up in several of Balzac's novels. As the summer nears an end things really begin to heat up. They steal a Faberge egg which in turn ends up being worthless as theirs now way to fence it. Book ends on a semi-happy note and Dillon is a much changed young man from when the book starts.… (altro)

I appreciate the author's effort to create a story from the mess of a young gay's life. It is not just a story about a gay going into the prostitution world, but a clever story-telling about a clever, although initially lazy, gay who plans a business venture, layer by layer, and face trouble, one after another. Somewhere there, I believe, I was supposed to laugh about the mishaps, but I was more drawn to know what would be happening next that I did not pause to laugh. It was a good book. Not great, but good.… (altro)

Four gay Christmas stories about love and about getting Mr. Right just in time for Christmas. Of course all stories have a happy end but the way to get there is different in different stories. Especially during the last story I got the impression that naming celebreties and showing off about the author's knowledge about the happy few is very boring. It doesn't come as a big surprise that William Mann's story is by far the best of this lot. Altogether the stories make for a good light reading on leazy weekends.… (altro)
