I first found Van Von Hunter online, and I found the concept to be very interesting--a hero who hunted evil--things, but yet was afraid of spiders. Well, all good heroes have at least one downfall. So, I watched as the series started off from its very humble beginnings up through the TokyoPop series. It's one of my favorite concepts, and down in a very humorous fashion. If you like comics as well as the creatures of the dark, such as you'd find in Dungeons and Dragons, you would likely find this book interesting.… (altro)
The illustration is great. The humor falls flat. The amnesia angle is like that knock knock joke that five year olds never get tired of. Knock knock, who's there, orange, orange who, knock knock....
I liked the drawing, but I didn't think it was that funny, personally. I've never been a fan of physical humor or humor that relies on a character's stupidity. I think the creators spent too much time watching Daffy Duck. My 11 year old loved it.
