Author conducted numerous oral history interviews to discover the process by which the military has reacted to the feminist movement for equality in treatment and assignments. Included are statement by BG Pat Foote, author and Army Major Carol Barkalow, Navy Commander Kathleen Bruyere, scholar Cynthia Enloe, Lory Manning (WREI) Georgia Sadler Judith Stiehm and Pat Schroeder. The book contains good information on the history of DACOWITS and WREI.
