We LOVE this book, my son makes me read it every night. He learned several sign language signs and words by asking about things in this book. The story is wonderful, the illustrations are simply amazing! It has subtle humor, like the mouse calling the egg "little roundish thing," or each animal trying to make it look like them. The illustrations are gorgeous, in depth, and feature a lot of wonderful nature items. Views of the forest, leaves and snail shells up close. It's as wonderful to look at as it is to read.

We originally checked it out from the library, and I knew instantly it was a keeper, I ordered my own copy right away!… (altro)
