A very good look into life in the SW Pacific between 1943 and 1945. The author was in a unit of the Transportation Corps, responsible for moving supplies. His war was essential, if not glorious. The account he provides is really fascinating. The writing is excellent and the book remarkable. Similar to the Fahey book, Pacific War Diary.
