Sex Cult Nun: Breaking Away from the Children of… di Faith Jones
This is a fascinating story and what she made of her life in the end is truly impressive. But it could use another round of editing. Way too much minutia that make the narrative drag.
This was incredible!
It was engaging, well told and heartbreaking. She got a bit preachy at the end, but following what she went through, I can’t blame her.

Fascinating and disturbing look at growing up within the Children of God.
Difficult to read, Faith Jones describes her life raised in a cult called The Family. A worldwide cult with thousands of followers.
They lived a communal lifestyle, eschewed formal education, supporting themselves by selling cult literature and music (and occasionally outright begging). They also believed in "free love".
This is a harrowing story of child abuse and definitely a hard to read story.
The author left the cult on her own in her early 20's and found her own path to independence and mental and emotional health.
