Caroline Jones has won a number of awards for her contribution to radio and television journalism, including a Logie Award (1972); Gold Sammy Awards (1980); several Media Peace Prize Gold Citations, and in the 1988 Queen's Birthday Honours List, Caroline was made an Officer of the Order of Australia, A.O. In 1989 she was awarded The Archbishop of Sydney Citation in recognition of outstanding contribution to Christian ideals in radio and television. She was a foundation member of the Australian Council for the Arts, 1973, and a foundation member of The National Films Board of Review, 1971. In 1982, Caroline Jones became Associate Director of The Centre for Communication Studies at Bathurst. With Hugh Mackay, she produced The Better Communication Tapes.
From 1987 to 1994 she presented "The Search For Meaning" on ABC Radio National. In 1989, "The Search For Meaning" book, based on Caroline Jones' radio program, was published by the ABC and Collins Dove. This book contains conversations with seventeen of the people heard on the award winning radio program. They include Michael Leunig, Dr. Rupert Sheldrake, Judy Cassab, Professor Fred Hollows, Dr. Dorothy Rowe, Brian Howe, Jean Houston, Tim Macartney-Snape, Martin Flanagan, Professor Manning Clark and others.… (altro)
