This is for the home bartender, using the techniques that the amateur would use and employing your more common liquors rather than the obscure, expensive stuff. The author even recommends substituting vodka for gin if that's what's on hand. The majority of the book consists of original recipes, and while not all of them sounded good to me (I have zero interest in a pea, wasabi and vodka cocktail), many of them sound great and I'll try some. this is more lunchbox inspiration (for adults and kids alike) than cookbook, though there are some basic recipes for making dinners. I would've like to see more details given on the "how to turn these leftovers into lunches" ideas--often the captions will tell you simply to "mix x, y, and z and bake" without saying what temperature or how long. A quick internet search will probably yield your answers, but it would have been nice to have just a bit more info. I did appreciate that this book focused on QUICK and EASY rather than painstakingly cute bento concoctions and may need to monitor the author's blog for ongoing inspiration.… (altro)
