World War 2: A Brief History of the European Theatre, by Ryan Jenkins, is just that; a brief history of the conflict in Europe. This book would appeal to someone trying to get a quick overview of the Second World War in the European theatre without going too deeply into the individual battles. Jenkins has brought the major events together in what is about a two – two and a half hour read, covering the important aspects of the time.

For a history student, trying to catch up on what they may have missed in class, this tomb could be a very valuable tool as it would give them the information needed for a class discussion, or paper on the topic.
Although I have studied much of this conflict in depth, I still enjoyed reading World War 2: A Brief History of the European Theatre, as it provides a nice refresher for details that may have been forgotten over time.… (altro)
