This is a children's book? No wonder I can't remember actually reading the trilogy I received for Christmas when I was nine! The writing is simplistic in places, as to be expected in a story about mice versus rats, but also very wordy. I did enjoy the Borrowers type details about life in the abandoned house - how an old ventilation grille in the cellar is the portal to the rats' lair in the sewers - and I loved Jupiter and his evil plan to take down humanity! (Perfectly believable for a cat!) I only read this on Kindle Unlimited for the nostalgia kick and won't be going on with the rest of the trilogy, but thanks for the fun break!… (altro)
