I rated first part five stars. And I truly hoped that the second part would have certain level of cruel sadistic action. Interestingly, this whole part is exactly that. But then, there is something kind of disappointing too.

In the first part Jenny's character was shown as BDSM-naive. Some of her responses also suggested that she had some mental concerns for morality. This part entirely put that character buildup into drain. She is showed as a very cruel sadist. Transition of her character to that level should have taken lot longer. It could be showed that she was only following instructions of her mother, but doing that is not very easy for her.

I don't like that Jenny's character has become secondary by now. Besides, the author seems to be getting confused about how the characters were built previously. Jenny's characterization was handled differently in first part. In second and beyond she was acting differently. And once again her character is acting same as first part. Furthermore, Helen's characterization is also handled pretty weakly for playing such a major part in Carl's storyline. Jason is nice introduction for Eileen's storyline, and surprisingly, he's given even more thoughtful characterization than any of the previous characters. The way it's build, there is a promise that this storyline would become even better than the first in upcoming parts. But let's see what happens. So far, the author seems to have lost the track.… (altro)
