Japanese Fairy Tales (Dover Children's Thrift… di Philip Smith
As is typical with the Dover Children's Thrift Classics on fairy tales, I found the stories to be dull and without much energy. Which is too bad - since the stories are really good. For example, the story of Urashima Taro is really fun, but is rather bland in the hands of this book.
These are very different from what I'm used to, though I liked them very much. While I like that Dover makes so many publications available, I did miss having more information, such as where the individual stories came from, who translated them, etc, or more details about the images.
