One gets the nagging suspicion that Mathieson did the hard yards researching all the parties while Jaensch's name was added to add to the prestige of the publication.

Ah, yes. The golden days of the 1970s. In South Australia that meant Don Dunstan was running the state in his own magnificent, idiosyncratic way, leaving the Liberal Party in opposition for more years than they were pleased about.

This is obviously quite dated now but may still be of interest to South Australian Liberals, who have spent over 30 of the last 45 years in opposition.
