Safari Honeymoon di Jesse Jacobs
Reminded me of amphigorey, but I enjoyed it more. Definitely art driven, but weird.
Two teens - Daisy and Jean-Claude, one of whom has a portal to another plane in her basement washing machine and dryer - explore a very strange world.
The art is incredible! Gorgeous, constantly changing rainbow line and knotwork to represent the altered mindset/higher plane of existence; black and white, less detailed (but still lovely) for the "normal" world. The teapot! The trolls! The colors! The shapes! All the creatures! The world is at first fun and benign, but as the the girls introduce more classmates who do not treat this world with pure intentions things begin to go sour.
This comic is more of an experience than a cohesive story. I enjoyed it primarily for the art, though I definitely felt for the wonderful fantastical creatures. I could look at this for hours. Well worth checking out.… (altro)

An interesting, surreal little story about a couple on a safari honeymoon (duh) and their guide. Only this safari is like nothing you’ve very seen before, with strange creatures and countless parasites and maybe even a new sentient species.
Worth it for the visuals alone, and some nice little nuggets of wisdom. Light on character development and meaning.
