Sometimes I find manga a little difficult to read, only because I find the plot too predictable or the characters too stereotypical. Tokyo Ghoul really surprised me, because neither of those things happened! Throughout the story, there's a sort of Ghostbusters-y vibe going on, what with all the ghouls roaming the city, which I really enjoyed. The whole plot has a very engaging adventure/horror/paranormal feel, but not overwhelmingly so. There were also large doses of humor, especially the interactions between Ken and Hide. Those two together just made me so happy! They have such a strong bond, and the flashback moments to their childhood and how they met were so sweet.
My only grief with the first volume here is how some of the action sequences were drawn, and the fact that the narration dragged a bit in the middle. The art style is really nice and strong, but during some of the fight sequences I honestly couldn't tell what was happening. It wasn't anything too distracting, just a little awkward to try and understand.
Despite those two minor things, I already have the next two volumes and can't wait to read them!!… (altro)

Honestamente pensei que não fosse gostar, mas acho que esse pensamento surgiu por causa dos "fãs" do anime. Toda vez que via Tokyo Ghoul sendo mencionado era sempre sobre a abertura, como o molenga do protagonista deveria ficar com a emo ruiva, como as lutas eram mega fodasticas, "nossa que mulher peituda gostosa waifu, mascaras fodas hehe, nossa gosto de tokyo ghoul sou muito edgy". Fico feliz de saber que a maioria disso não passa de um fragmento da história, acredito que boa parte desses fãs eram adolescentes e fãs de lutinha, pq como que você sai de uma obra que questiona o que é ser humano, como matamos seres vivos pra comer e os ghouls fazem a mesma coisa, a humanidade ou a falta dela dentro de pessoas e ghouls, até aonde a pessoa vai para se prevenir de machucar os outros, e outros questionamentos similares; como que vai disso tudo para "ele virou fodao agr cabelo branco", tipo? O menino é molengão mas nossa o coitado foi torturado estilo Jogos Mortais e a única coisa que os otakão tiram disso é que ele está transformado e que o cabelo branco dele é foda. Ah, teve uma situação de um personagem criado ali que é extremamente homofóbico, não tem razão nenhuma pra ele ser daquele jeito.
Não acho que eu vá atrás de ver as outras edições ou interagir com essa mídia novamente, a fandom realmente faz você desistir de ver o conteúdo de tão insuportáveis que são.
O mangá em sí é muito bom, amo os traços, são mais realisticos, gosto do jeito como desenha os personagens, faz eles únicos e realmente parecem humanos pelas suas características faciais. Tiveram alguns momentos bobinhos aqui e ali e eu dei uma risadinha, a capa é bonita, tem uma arte bonitona.… (altro)
