2024 movie #43. 2014. After solar flares devastate the earth, the survivors develop robots to help them rebuild. But the robots figure out how to modify themselves to become sentient. Not an original story but done well. A Spanish-Bulgarian movie of all things.
This movie was a little bit of Asimov's laws of robotics and a little bit of Blade Runner. It had an excessive quantity of babies and a bad ending. It would have been more supportable if it had been more dystopian.
