A Pocket Guide to Insects di Patrick Hook
Not really what I needed for my yard, but for others it would be great. Seems more like for just a general overview of insects. Doesn't tell me which of my plants they eat.
Thisi is a very good coffee table book. It is large and dramatic
Since this is a guide to insects of the whole world, you probably will not find any specific insect you are wondering about. It should be either more specific, or ten times the number of pages.
Most of the pages discus just a family, not a genera or certainly not a species. For example, only nine dragonflies are mentioned, none of them are the most common three where I live in Texas. The red and black bugs, abundant around fallen wood here, are absent as well. I'll have to get a more local book to identify them.
I'm not sure what what the target audience is for this guide.… (altro)
