This is a funny book about a zoo keeper who needed to freshen up his zoo for picture day. He called Buhla to come in a freshen all the animals up. She put make up and jewelry and clothes on all these animals, which is ridiculous. By the end of the book, the zoo keeper loses his mind and gets rid of Buhla. He has all the animals cleaned up and looking themselves again. Then, the zoo keeper decides they all look perfect naturally. I like this book for kids between 5 and 10.

Summary: This story is about a cat that lives with the Lazybone family. In the beginning the family complains about the cat not doing anything. They believe that he would be better as a blanket, coat, hat or slippers. It continues throughout the story. The cat goes out and provides for the family when they are cold, hungry, board, and want money. Even after everything they still complain about the cat. Eventually the cat is fed up with being taken advantage of and he goes and gets all the people he stole from. The Lazybone family is then taken to jail.

Uses: To teach that having everything isn't always important as well as teaching the students that people who do not get things honestly do not end up happy.

Genre: Fantasy- This story fits this genre because the cat steals for the family in order to help them survive.
