The archaeology of ancient Australia di Peter Hiscock
Hiscock takes a well argued stance against the use of ethnographic studys to describe wwhat happend in australia's "prehistory". Through his analysis of archaeological evidence and the use of case studies he paintes a picture of innovative Aboriginal Australians constantly adapting to a change environment and were not the static, unchanging peoples described by many recent observers. A thoughtful, well written guide for the layperson.
