maybe it's 'cos owen is also a poet & also a veteran of berkeley's legendary moe's books, or maybe it's something he puts in his gin, but he had me from page one, & i honestly could not put this one down until the very last period on the final sentence struck like a real bullet in a heart made of glass ...
