Nash Bostwick is the sexy guitarist for Meltdown--one of the hottest bands in the country. Nash doesn't do relationships. There's a reason why he's known for being a playboy. Relationships lead to heartbreak. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt. After his high school sweetheart died, Nash vowed that he would never feel that kind of heartache again. Unfortunately, the world has different plans. His heart is about to be shattered along with the rest of his world. One by the most important person in his life--his mother. She has been fighting breast cancer for the past few years. She was in remission. Now, the cancer is back...and this time it's terminal. The second by his mother's oncology nurse, Rowan. She isn't his type. She has luscious curves that go for days. Nash prefers his women straight and super skinny as Grant calls them stick figures.

Rowan Burns has been an oncology nurse for the past few years. She knows better than to become attached to her patients, but there is something about Mauve and her sexy broody son that she can't explain. Rowan was attracted to Nash the moment they met. She also knew he didn't feel the same way. Until recently, when he keeps watching her and staying up with her to watch movies after Mauve goes to sleep. Mauve is spunky, funny, and so full of life...her sarcastic sense of humor is like no other. Rowan knew when Mauve was getting worse. She knew to separate the nurse from the personal connection to Mauve. Rowan is also falling for the emotionally detached Nash. Nash shows his softer side for his mother. He does whatever he can for the woman who single-handily raised him.

Once a few strange things begin happening, Nash thinks it's his stalker returning. It doesn't help that Blane doesn't follow through with what he's told in order to keep Nash and his family safe. Nash installs a new security system. That doesn't stop the stalker from kidnapping Rowan. What Rowan doesn't tell Nash is that she is running away from her former life. A life that could be catching up to her. Who kidnapped Rowan? How can Nash find the stalker? Will Rowan forgive him for leaving her after his mother's death?

Grant Hardy is the lead singer for Meltdown, a rising rock band. Meltdown is one of the first bands that signed on with a new record label, Happenstance. Blane Hamilton took a chance on an unknown band--Meltdown has delivered tenfold. They have a huge following of fans--so much so that they have a security team with them at all times. Everything they do is documented in someway. It doesn't help that Grant fell off the stage and puked his guts up during the first song of their concert. Grant was under the influence of Oxy--something he adamantly denies taking. The record label forces him to rehab.

Mallory Scott works with her best friend, Dr. CiCilia Woods the owner of Woodway, an in-house rehabilitation for the wealthy including Meltdown. Originally, CiCi was going to take the assignment but she had already agreed to assisting a tennis player with his addictions. Mallory has only assisted CiCi with her assignments. But it's time for Mal to embark on her own without CiCi. Too bad that her new client is non other than Grant Hardy--Mr. Panty-melting sexy as hell man. That voice! And he completely denies to using Oxy or having an addiction. Mal is contracted to Grant for the remainder of Meltdown's US tour. Something isn't right. The more she learns about Grant--the more she believes him. Why would a guy take Oxy for a high when he's allergic to it? Where is his detox report? Why can't she find his therapist from rehab? Who would want to hurt not only Grant but also Meltdown?

How is she supposed to stay away from this man when all she wants to do is pull him into her bed?

Grant knows something fishy is happening. He spends his two week stint at rehab writing music and sleeping with his therapist. The whole thing is complete crap and was a waste of his time. Now, he has a therapist watching every move he makes. He knows that she is reporting everything to Hamilton. Why can't he stop thinking about about her lush curves and full lips? Every time, Blane goes near her, Grant is filled with anger and jealousy--something he has never felt before. She challenges him at every point from his workout routine to his songwriting. She found a way under his skin--yet he wants to keep her there and protect her from what is happening around him. Only he doesn't know if or how to protect her from what is happening in his life--let alone from her own nightmares. How can he protect Mallory from being fired on top of everything else in his life?

Chaz Jones has not had an easy life. His stepfather abused him in a multitude of ways that has left permanent scars on him both physically and emotionally. He keeps everyone at arms length including his new band mates. Chaz was just hired by Meltdown to be their new drummer after their previous drummer was fired for his drug addiction. Chaz feels like the outsider of the group--which in a way he is. Meltdown has been together for years. Grant and Nash started the band with Luke and Dave coming shortly thereafter. But the band has been in turmoil. It seems that after Grant fixed the record label issue by all of them buying out part of the label, Nash being kidnapped, Luke's death, and Grant's stalker behind bars--the band is starting to come together with the addition of Evan, the new keyboardist. Chaz's role in Grant's stalker has left him without--he can no longer write or down himself in music. His escape.

Now, the band is going on tour--but their manager is having family issues. Her father is dying so she needs someone to replace her as band manager. Olivia Marshall walked away from the music scene for a reason--it completely shattered her. At one point, she thought she had everything--a dream job, a terrific man, and traveling around the world with both. But that was all taken away from her. Olivia was in love with the lead singer of Indigo Road, Sander. Only Olivia wasn't the only person that Sander was having sex with--the lead guitarist Gio. The band's manager Frank fired Olivia when he found out that she was pregnant with Sander's baby. Olivia's world was shattered even more when she lost the baby at seven months. She fell into drugs, alcohol, and depression for months, almost years. Now, she is managing another band--Meltdown. Chaz Jones makes her panties melt. She is determined not to repeat the past. Chaz keeps pursuing her. She keeps letting him in, at first only emotionally then physically. They both heal each other.

Until Olivia is kidnapped.

It takes every member of Meltdown's security staff to find her. And find out who has been sending emails and texts to the previous owner of the record label.

Can Chaz open himself up to another woman claiming his heart? Will they find Olivia before the kidnapper kills her just to further hurt Chaz? Will Meltdown ever be able to outrun their demons?

Can Chaz find his rhythm again to write music and find his escape?

I have to say that I am a bit disappointed that this is the final novel for the series. I love these characters. I would love to continue to read about them. But I can also see why the series is over. Come on, how much can possibly happen to these guys! They have already endured so much. Why write another novel where they are all just blissfully happy. Honestly, that's just boring. Evan ending the series is perfect. Evan's gorgeous green eyes...totally swoon worthy.

Evan Walker is the new keyboardist in Meltdown. He was officially invited to join the band after he helped Meltdown out after their previous keyboardist was killed by their lead guitarist. The band needed to complete a short three month tour for publicity. Evan's wife of nine years was furious that he joined the band even after he bought her a new Porsche and a McMansion of a house. His sister and brother tried to tell him that his wife was cheating on him, but he didn't want to listen. He didn't listen when a previous band mate told him the same thing months later. But he had to be sure, he had LASH, a private security company that the band uses look into it. They found that his wife, Mandy was not only cheating on him but was didn't actually work at the pharmaceutical company she told him. That most of their marriage has been riddled with lie after lie.

Evan moves in with the country bar owner of Margo's, Quinn.

Quinn Kinley is the owner of Margo's--the bar her father started and one of the two things she has left of him. Her mother sold her childhood home to her a few months ago. Now, her mother lives in Florida with her best friend. Margo's and her home are the two things she loves the most in life.

Margo's is her life. With her manager, Alex-Ann who keeps having an on/off relationship with her boyfriend Baxter. Baxter, who finally leave Alex-Ann for Amanda--a stuck up bitch that they both hate. But that doesn't stop Baxter and Amanda from coming into the bar. At first, the two friends thought Baxter did it as revenge to Alex-Ann. They thought that perhaps Baxter's new relationship and the couple frequenting the bar is something more.

Margo's is also where she meets the gorgeous Evan Walker. Quinn didn't recognize him right away--she's a country girl through and through. But who doesn't know Meltdown even if you don't listen to rock. That band is incredible. So is the tatted up man sitting in her bar. He comes back a few more times without his younger brother.

He tells her that he's getting a divorce --she offers him a place to live.

Quinn is the complete opposite of Mandy. She has curves that go for days. That sassy mouth. She has a comeback for everything. Even when his bitch soon-to-be-ex breaks into their newly shared house, Quinn helps him deal with everything. Evan is devastated when his most prized possession--his baby piano and recording equipment are destroyed. And the first guitar he was ever given. All of his music equipment is destroyed. The only rooms that were touched were the music equipment in the pool house, his bedroom, and the living room. Nothing is stolen. Mandy did it. He knows it. But can't prove it. He just wants Mandy out of his life for good. He wants Quinn. But he won't come after her until he has Mandy out of his life.

Mandy does sever damage to Evan's emotions. The more LASH investigates Mandy, the more questions Evan has. Was anything about his life for the past nine years true? He feels like he has wasted a part of his life with the wrong person. Why does Mandy have so many marriage certificates in these boxes? Who is Mandy? Why would she target him like this? Why didn't Quinn tell him that she knows Mandy?

But will Quinn still want him after how he treated her after finding out that Quinn knew Mandy? What will Quinn do since something happened to Margo's? Will she rebuild it? Or will she build a new life with Evan?
