I read this through in March of 2015, but did not really absorb the details. Now that I am almost done with it again, it is gelling.
A prequel to the series about Reilly Steel. Unfortunately I just couldn't get interested in the character or the story.

On the one hand, the somewhat pretentious subtitle is true: I didn't put it down, though I can't say why. With a novel that I was a step ahead of the investigator most of the time, & that was riddled with (minor)plot errors, I normally would have tossed it unfinished. I can only guess that I was for some reason engaged with some minor subplot aspects that I wanted to see where they went. Overall, since I was kept in it, I'll have to call it decent, but I don't know that I'll try the sequel, because plot errors are a pet peeve.… (altro)
