The questions I’ve kept on hearing in my journey of trying to be a good Christian woman have been, why has the lord decided to make me a woman, and what is my purpose???

Asa Christian women, we need to remember that the Bible is fraught with reassurance and astuteness as to who we are and better comprehend the function the Lord has made for us. We also must remember that He has created you in His image.

1 CORINTHIANS 15:10 [NKJV] reminds all women of the following:

“But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.”

And once we come to realize the truth as to why we are the way we are. We should go and exalt the Lord in the manner that gets found in reading PROVERBS 139:14 [NKJV]:

“I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.”

When we ask ourselves what our purpose is, we need to remember that the Spirit of the Lord might have endowed us with a gift, which 1 CORINTHIANS 12:4-11 [NKJV] tells us about:

4] There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
5] There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord.
6] And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all.
7] But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:
8] for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit,
9] to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit,
10] to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.
11] But the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.

While all the above might be true, the important thing we need to remember for being the woman that we are is that the Lord has blessed us with the ability to bring forth life, with the seed[s] that He has placed in our wombs, and that we had been made in His image.

While what I’ve stated is the truth as far as I am concerned. I feel we still need a professional guide to provide us, as Christian women, with a better comprehension of our identity, the Lord’s will, and most importantly, His intended purpose for us as His one of its kind creation. In reading this devotional book by Cynthia Heald, I found her to be the formidable type of guide we require. For being the type of guide, we require to discover the purpose of our lives as Christian women; I’ve given Ms. Heald 5 STARS.

Growing up almost every woman might remember having their mother read them the poem “Wednesday’s Child” where every child had a certain quality:
Monday’s child is fair of face
Tuesday’s child is full of grace
Wednesday’s child is full of woe
Thursday’s child has far to go
Friday’s child is loving & giving
Saturday’s child works hard for a living
A child born on the Sabbath day is a perfect child in every way

However, in this devotional book, author Cynthia Heald wants to show ALL women to realize that they’re already full of grace and not just Tuesday’s child. Ms. Heald wants to show all of her Christian “sisters” how they can become one by taking each one who reads this book on a meaningful, miraculous, spiritualistic journey in order to discover how real the Lord’s grace is for them, even more so than they’ve ever known previously. For we must remember NUMBERS 6:25 [ESV]

“The LORD make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you.”

Through the motivational pages of this study book, Ms. Heald takes her “sisters” on an awe-revealing expedition which will show them the Lord’s never-ending graces, and how they’re enhancing their lives each day without even their knowledge; as well how they can now spread His graces unto others each day of their lives.

For wanting to share the Lord’s graces with other in the gentle manner she has, as a reviewer of Christian I’m grateful to give Ms. Heald the 5 STARS she’s received from me.

If I could quote from the Preface of this book it summarizes the purpose of the book very well: "I stand in the need of spending time in prayer", "to deepen your understanding of prayer so that you can pray more effectively and draw closer to our Lord. . .", "The underlying principle of prayer, which overwhelmed me, is that God desires to be intimate with me and He wants this relationship so much that He invites, encourages and helps me to pray".

The author does a great job of helping you understand the purpose and goal of our prayer life. She uses a lot of scripture, which I always appreciate, and also found some excellent quotes from great men and women of the faith that I also greatly enjoyed. As I flip back through the pages of this book, I am amazed at all the underlining and highlighting I did as I read. Which means there is a lot that I want to go back to and re-read. This was taught at our ladies Bible study on prayer and is very easy to use as she gives questions to answer with scripture to look up on prayer.… (altro)
