Jesse Jerome (Nehemiah Persoff), proprietario di un locale di cabaret, intende ricattare il suo più famoso artista, il mago Santini (Jack Cassidy), per estorcergli la metà dei suoi incassi. The awkward urban private eye, Benny Cooperman, confronts a murder mystery in the wilds of Algonquin Park.
