I liked the premise of this story and yes I knew that there were hetero sex scenes. What I did not expect were the huge amount of typos and the poor editing that pervaded the story. I would highly doubt that the author even bothered with a second read. I did enjoy both Jax and Aleks. They were appealing much more as individuals than as a couple. The murders and the investigation seemed to get pushed to the background and the second half of the story was mainly concerned with vampire politics. I feel that the author played a bit too fast and loose with the cross over in plots. I almost gave up on the story but had too much invested and wanted to see the story resolved. The kicker was that it ended with a "to be continued" type ending. I will not be reading book two and suggest that fans of the genre pass up this story for a better put together book.… (altro)
