Karen Hamilton (1)

This is a domestic thriller with a quite unlikeable main character. There were lots of twists and revelations along the way. This is my first time reading this author and I would like to read more books by her as I was entertained and engaged throughout my reading of the book.

The perfect Girlfriend is about the most psychotic sociopath of a woman you will ever read about. So much so that at times the book is funny. Juliette doesn’t have a single stable cell in her body. If you ever meet someone and they say they felt sympathy for her and what happened to her...run! Change your locks, move, change your name even. The fact that a woman wrote this book makes it more believable.
A great summer book!

See, this could have made a really great statement about rape culture and about judgmental bullies. But it didn't. And that's sad.

Too long. If it had been shorter and snappier, it could have been interesting, or if it had been published five years ago before we were all tired of the same repeated lines. I loved the flight attendant aspect, but that wasn't unique enough to make it great.

Like, I got through it wanting to know what happened. But it was still fairly predictable yet overly convoluted and soooooo unrealistic.
