Fairly interesting, looking at the importance of living as a Christian in the workplace - having integrity, being a living witness, showing respect and fairness, etc. Nothing particularly new and startling, but some interesting anecdotes. Worth reading.

I met the author in February 2009, when one of my rather sporadic attendances at church co-incided with him being there to speak. That was fortuitous - what he had to say had enormous impact on me. Firstly, how often does someone come to church to talk about working life? Ironically, he was speaking to a rather bemused congregation of retired people, but I was the rapt exception. I often find that at church you are obliged to fit into one of the following categories: old folk, families, teens, tots, men who attend the men's breakfast, and women who attend the weekday coffee mornings. As a childless woman with an all-consuming job, I fit into none of the above, so I feel slightly alienated from church society. The author says churches tend to be too inward-looking, when there is a vast platform for ministry in the networks of contacts all working people have.
I have to say I'm finding the book not quite as impressive as Mark Greene's own dynamic delivery, but that doesn't mean to say it isn't an inspiring read. I would be striping it all over with highlighter pen, if it weren't for the fact that I intend to lend it to EVERYONE once I have finished it, and I don't want to prejudice their impressions.

Excellent book, tackling areas that most sermons don't, and with good stories and passion.
