Filth (Filth, #2) di Dakota Gray
Filth is the first book in the series - Perv - retold from Robin's perspective. One would think that it would be difficult to hold interest in what is essentially a retelling of the same story, but Dakota Gray does a great job of engaging the reader with more focus on Robin's thoughts, motives and emotions. Despite knowing what was going to happen, I still found myself glued to the book until the end. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author.
Another great book in the Filth series. Despit what the title and series names suggest, there is actually a lot of raw emotion and heart in these stories. Hard Core is raw, honest, intense. The sex scenes are explicit but the book differs from pure erotica due to the excellent character development which really lets the reader get inside the characters' heads - particularly Duke, whose perspective the book is primarily written from, but also Kennedy's to a lesser extent.
What can I say? Dakota Gray can write! Adonis Line is daring, sexy, sweet, emotional and humorous. I love the Filth series - each one uniquely erotic, yet full of angst and emotion that sets it apart from the typical erotica genre. This is a must read!
I was initially hesitant about reading Perv as, though I like my romance novels on the "spicy" side, I am not generally a fan of erotica because they're usually high on gratuitous sex scenes and low on plot. But...Dakota Gray is another pen name of author Melissa Blue and I absolutely LOVED her Dirty Sexy Geeks series, so I decided to give it a go and I'm SO glad I did. Perv is definitely high on the explicit sex scale, but Ms Gray did an amazing job of making both characters so likeable. Despite Nate's reputation as just a f---boy, you learn right away that he really has a lot of heart and you can't help but love him.… (altro)
