Judith Gorog

I didn't know what to expect when I started this book because I didn't remember reading any of Gorog's books. I was more than pleasantly surprised; nearly all the stories were absolutely delicious and fun; and bring back memories of fairy tales I read and loved as a child. But these are clearly not meant for young children. While most of them reinforce what many of us had been taught to believe as children - that good trumps evil, there a few devilishly fun tales in this collection, i.e Minnie.

The too few, spare, linear illustrations are also adult-oriented, (nothing like the children's book illustrations I remember), and add a touch of irony to the stories.

Now I need to find other Gorog's other books.… (altro)
