This is a realistic fiction book about a boy who worked as the meet turner in the kings kitchen. Because of his job the boy always had dogs following him around and licking the salt off of him. When the king comes to the palace the boy becomes upset because of the extra work this will mean for him. The king has a dog who travels with him, but during the party he runs away because of all the people around him. The boy does not know that all the people are looking for the King's dog because he is working in the kitchen. The dog runs up to the boy and the boy likes this dog because it does not try to lick him like all the other dogs. Someone sees that the boy found the dog and he is praised by the king and assigned a new job as bearer of the dog.… (altro)
