This YA Mystery book really surprised me. I didn't think that plot was going to be that entertaining and that it would be somewhat predictable. But the reality is that this book really surprised me left and right even down to the ending of the book.

I really enjoyed this more than I thought I would. Definitely worth the read!

This book was fantastic, I love this novel with all of the PIECES of my heart, after it shattered reading this book, don't take that the wrong way, this book was said, yes, but one of the best books I've ever read in my life so far. Girl In Pieces is about a teenage girls journey through healing and growing, after a rough past, she tries her very best to live the life she's making for herself to the fullest. This book is a huge tear jerk, but a story that will stick with you forever, and may just teach the most important lesson in your life... to confront the uncomfortable realities of life while simultaneously reminding us of the human spirit's strength to rebuild from the ruins.… (altro)

This book was traumatic and healing all at once. Major trigger warnings, but social issue books are my absolute favorite sub genre. The struggles that Charlie went through were so relatable and brought back a lot of memories I had pushed away. It was difficult to read at times but ultimately gave me hope. The best book I've read in a while.

Welcome to Castle Cove, an affluent little town on the California coast, where popular teen Brooke Donovan has just fallen to her death on the cliffs overlooking the beach. Or was she pushed? Alice, Brooke's ex-best friend, armed with a recent Agatha Christie obsession, is determined to discover the truth. And Iris, Alice's tutor and unwilling partner in crime-solving, sure could use the reward money -- she's not wealthy like Alice and Brooke, and she really wants to find a way out of this town for her and her mom. But what can a couple of teenage girls do when the cops have already pinned the blame on the wrong person?

I had fun reading this YA mystery. I figured out whodunit before the reveal, but there was plenty to enjoy along the way in terms of clues and character interactions. The writing is solid but not stellar. I enjoyed all of the Christie references. All in all, a decent book if you're into teen mysteries.
