This is a limited edition paper bound publication from the University of California Press. Very nice addition to an ethnological library.

Gifford was a giant at UC Berkeley from the late 19th well into the early 20th century, spanning ornithology, zoology, anthropology. This volume examines the vanishing tribal folklore of the California Indian, showing again Gifford painstaking effort to document vanishing culture and species in California. A very nice volume and must have for the Classic Science library.
