I think the pictures are really good at showing things in the southwest.

1. The class could draw something from the book they realy liked. for instance a plant or animal.
2. The class could sing the song that is in the book.

Lovely watercolor illustrations help tell the story of the rise and fall of the Pony Express in the wild west of American history. A great story for kids who love cowboys, horses or bandits.
